Deadline for application:
Applications may be submitted at any time, but interviews for admission will be held at meetings of the faculty in October and April. (Applicants for full-time status who wish to have an assistantship should apply by February 1 for fall enrollment.)
Application Steps:
- Consider required and preferred characteristics
- Master's degree in a related field is required
- Graduate GPA of 3.50 or greater is preferred
- GRE scores of 550 verbal, 530 quantitative, and 4.5 writing are preferred
- Contact the program adviser to discuss application.
- Prepare and submit the following:
Graduate College of Education application Available online or contact OGS for hard copy Personal statement Expressing the career goals of the applicant Form for Statement of Goals Two letters of reference It is preferred that at least one be an academic reference Form for Letters Resume This is a program requirement (it is not mentioned on the graduate application) Official transcripts Two official copies from each college or university in which 8 semester or 12 quarter hours were earned; a graduate GPA of 3.50 is preferred GRE scores Scores of 550 verbal, 530 quantitative, and 4.5 writing are preferred For testing information, visit GRE Application fee $30 To pay by credit card, use online application; by check, use mail-in form.

Once a completed file has been forwarded to the program adviser, the applicant will be contacted to discuss the file and/or schedule an interview. We make every effort to consider each application and make a decision in a time frame that respects both your and our schedule. However, please plan to have your application completed well in advance of the semester you wish to begin taking coursework.
