The School of Exercise, Leisure, and Sport offers graduate study leading to the Master of Arts degree in exercise, leisure and sport, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree with a concentration in Exercise Physiology.

The program is designed to enable the student to assume key positions in research, teaching, and administration in human movement and leisure settings including movement education, motor learning, recreation and sport, as well as prepare quality students for advanced degree work.

Kent State University is the leading public research university in Northeast Ohio and is designated "doctoral extensive" by the Carnegie Foundation. Twenty-one doctoral programs are offered and approximately 4,500 students enroll in graduate programs campus-wide. Faculty in the School of Exercise, Leisure and Sport are nationally and internationally recognized for their achievements in teaching and research.
