Program description

The Computing/Technology licensure endorsement program is intended for teachers who will teach about computers and peripheral devices and computer applications in education or who want to move to technology positions in the schools. The program consists of courses in instructional design, managing change, computer networking, authoring systems, Internet education, and others. You may work toward a masters degree plus the Computing/Technology license endorsement or, if you already have a masters degree in education, you may add the endorsement to your existing teaching license.

Admission/Prerequisite Requirements:

All candidates must meet the following requirements prior to admission to the licensure program. The admissions file will not be considered by the faculty until all materials have been received.

  • An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • An overall undergraduate grade-point average of 3.00 or better and a graduate GPA of 3.25 or better and/or other evidence of potential success in graduate studies (official transcripts required).
  • A valid teaching certificate or license in Ohio prior to admission in the endorsement program in computing/technology.
  • Letters of recommendation.
