The Cultural Foundations master's degree programs are concerned with the study of educational policies and practices from social, philosophical, historical, and comparative perspectives. The individualized programs are designed to provide educators in school and nonschool settings with the skills necessary to interpret educational policies and analyze educational activities in various situations.

Students who complete this program are licensed to work at any level K-12 as a Library/Media specialist.
Evaluation and Measurement (hybrid)
The program addresses contemporary topics related to educational assessment in a practical, application-based manner. Coursework includes: data driven decision making; using data and assessment to improve instruction and student learning; differentiated instruction; stardards-based education.

Reading Endorsement (hybrid)
The reading endorsement is a 'stamp of approval' to teach reading, grades P-12 in Ohio. The endorsement is granted by the Ohio Department of Education. It is applied to an existing teaching certificate/license. The courses in this endorsement can also be applied to a master's degree in Reading.

Career Based Intervention Program
This Master's-level program provides endorsement to a teaching certificate/ license. Instructors combine a web-based classroom with coordinating on-the-job experience. Courses are available online if enrollment permits. Contact the CTTE program coordinator for additional information.
Transition Specialist Endorsement
This program is a Master's endorsement to teaching license. The Kent State transition to Work (TTW) endorsement program is for teachers licensed as intervention specialists and vocational educators.
