National Occupation Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) has developed and validated over 250 different occupational competency assessments. NOCTI's objective is the advancement of Career Technical Education and the subsequent creation of a workforce for America.The following are the standards for taking written and/or the performance tests at the approved Kent State University NOCTI testing center. Individuals may receive a maximum of 24 credit hours.

Parking permits are not required in White Hall lot that day

NOCTI APPLICATION FORM

  • NOCTI test may be used for college credit in an approved bachelor's degree program.

  • For NOCTI credit hours to be applied to a KSU transcript, individual must at least be admitted or have been admitted to KSU and may require a minimum of credit hours.

  • The rules and regulations for administering the NOCTI testing shall be taken from the NOCTI "Handbook for Area Center Organization and Administration."

  • Testing costs: Written Test - $250.00; Performance Test - $250.00 plus cost of materials (a check made out to Kent State University is required two to four weeks before the test date).

  • No refunds will be possible once the testing procedure has been initiated.

You may access a test scope (sample questions) of your trade area at http://www.nocti.org and link through Blueprint Teacher Assessments, Experienced Worker Test, where you will see an alphabetical or categorical list of trade areas from which you will choose your test name and number after viewing its 'scope'. That test name and number must be on the NOCTI application form when you submit it and payment.
